Hi, have a read of this thread. It's all about the configs.
http://www.world-of-satellite.com/sh...1-00-3199-help
I got it working fine on mine, but using cccam.
Had to create a hex box key and put it in the .cfg file. But was easy.
I've been trying to find the instructions I used, but without luck.
Sent using sorcery and the magic interwebs
i have oscam working with mgcammd but you can use oscams dvbapi to view the channels, you can get a ipk for oscam for sky uk but not on this fourm just google "oscam sky uk ipk"
How do you get anything into the ".cfg file"?
1) Open (My)Computer on your PC
2) Click in the Addrees bar at the top of the window
3) Type ftp://XXX.XXX.XXX.XXX (your receiver's IP) Mine would be ftp://192.168.1.102
Press Enter
4) When the dialog comes up asking for username and password, use "root" as username (no quotation marks), leave password blank.
5) Click OK
6) With luck you should see a list of files on your receiver
7) Double-click folder "etc"
8) drag file cccam.cfg onto your desktop
9) Open it in notepad
10) Add/edit as required
11) Save file
12) Click on it in your ftp window and delete it.
13) Drag modified file from your desktop back into etc folder in the ftp window.
That was quick - thank you.
OK up to stage 8 then no cccam.cfg in etc.
Create a new blank CCcam.cfg using a decent text editor, ftp it to /etc, then blue button -> softcam manager, start the cam.
If you have premium sub (sports, movies) you will also need to add a boxkey, do a search on the forums for instructions.
And what is there to add/edit at stage 10 - the box key or something more?
??? 10) Add/edit as required - stage 10 explained as well as it can be.
As said, for your SKY UK card to work, a blank file is enough for cccam to start.
If you have a sub to other premium channels, you will need to add a boxkey.
All steps 1-13 achieved with blank cccam.cfg. It doesn't start.
where did you get cccam from?
The cccam.cfg file came from following your instructions in post #8. :)
I guess that's not what your question means though.
No, you also need cccam itself, where did you download that from?
Nowhere, so let's start again.
The first two posters had "new receiver running with oscam" and was "using cccam".
If those "cams" didn't come already installed into the new receiver how did they get them?
Thanks in advance for your patience.
download cccam from http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix/index.php?dir=ViX-Softcams/
upload the ipk to /tmp, press blue -> ViX -> Install local extension.
then upload your CCcam.cfg to /etc
restart, press blue button -> Softcam Manager -> green to start it & blue to enable autostart.
Done. Does the box key have to go into CCcam.cfg even for non-premium channels ?
No only for movies and sports
My subscription does include the premium channels but the rest of the channels aren't decrypting. Should they and if so what more needs to be done - something to the CCcam.cfg file, or something else?
Have a look at this post, specifically the PDF file in the first post. It may help. I used this on Vix3 and a Gigablue 800 UE and it worked fine.
Sorry, try this link :)
