turns out you need to be logged in for the openvix latest builds aswell. i logged out and still managed to download them but after i refreshed the page i was unable to acess that area.

so the answer is yes. you have to be logged in to download something

thats what my original post was but after i refreshed the page when i logged out. i couldnt acess the "vix support centre" on the bar at the top. thats why i edited my post

well yes you would need to be logged into this forum to download from here but thats not needed for downloads from the site i posted the link to.
