Is the solo 2's VFD display the same as the Ultimo's VFD display ?, can I install the same VFD picons onto it ?

Size may be different and may need some tweaking but in theory you should be able to

Nope: the Solo2 VFD is the same as the UNOs. So picons are not possible.
