hi guys - ive got a summer image on my duo - when i put the image on the box displayed the time in the front display - suited me fine id rather know the time than be told what channel im watching - but at some point i lost it and it now displays the channel - please can i have the time back - many thanks

Hi,
the front display is also controlled by the skin. Did you change to another skin? With the file skin_user.xml in /etc/enigma2 (???) you can create your own setup for the display or any other GUI component if you like.

you are quite right - just changed the skin and got the clock back - can you point me in the right direction for some reading material on learning this stuff - i just stumble along not really knowing what i am doing - ive got flash FXP but when i go in there and into the box it looks very complicated - any help much appreciated

Hi,
try to put the attached skin_user.xml in /etc/enigma2 (unpack before copying of course:-)). After GUI restart you should see a clock and this overrules your skin so if you change something here it will be the same for all skins.

VIX 2.4 is old and unsupported. You would be better off flashing build 558 from here (http://www.world-of-satellite.com/enigma2/openvix/index.php?dir=Vu%2BDuo/)
