Strange solo issue

Ive got 2 vu+solos running the latest vix image. On my setup i use openvpn on both of the boxes. The problem is that one box will not clear anything but fta, while the other works fine. If you swap details between the 2 boxes it works fine. The box that wont clear has a working net connection so i cant really think of anything else it could be. Anyone had this issue before.
