Just done an online update and noticed that transcodingsetup has appeared in the changes.

Is this for transcoding on all boxes or just the new Broadcom chipsets?

Thats only for receivers with the appropriate hardware.

No: Ultimo will never support that, Quad is still waiting for manufacturer support in this area.
The present transcoding plugin on our feeds is for Solo2 only.

Were not, but that does not mean we cant build one, we already have a solo2 image but at present there are no plans to release it.

Hi,

At the risk of being flamed, why aren't you issuing a Solo 2 image? I was maybe thinking of selling my Vu Duo and buying a Solo 2, but not sure I would if there wasn't going to be a Vix image for it.

just check solo2 section of this problem.

Hint: Vu+ bad support and their bad drivers are cause of this

Nope: nothing to do with driver(quality).
