wifi usb adapter is known to work with pli, AAf, Gigant, DE and Vti (not sure about this).

I can confirm the TP-Link TL-WN321G does NOT work with PLI image.

I can confirm the TP-Link TL-WN321G does NOT work with PLI image.

Incorrect information. TP-Link doesn't work with DM800 PLI image. I don't know about the VU+ PLI Image.
