What's the best plugin to view a recording

Hello friends.
I'm using the vix image on my Unibox and i'm try to find a good and easy plugin to view the recording.
To set the recording using EPG it's very simple and easy to use. But to watch the record programs is a nightmare. I only have the media player 2. And every time I want to see i need to navigate on HDD folders then select the video and finely put the record on list and watch.
Is there any different ?

Not sure what's wrong then. Maybe make symlinks to the most used locations within media/hdd/movie ?

And not sure what mediaplayer 2 is, but there's no plugin needed at all.
