If that is needed the box is already on the latest bootloader, so flashing the bootloader is of no use (and if it goes wrong you have no box at all).
so renaming the folder is not going to work then your saying. or am i on the latest bootloader
If when you boot the box on the VFD it says Et9x00 your on the latest bootloader and can only use images with folder name ET9x00
thanks mate when i boot box it says Et9x00 so i guess i must be on latest boot loader just that it is been over a year since i had the box and was under the impression that it was an old boot loader . should i update now to the latest build by usb or download via the box thanks guys

I would advise a fresh flash as updating so much in one go online could introduce instabilities into the image, also one of the latest images requires a fresh flash due to changes in the way some medai files are handled ( cant quite remember the exact build at the moment ).
plus you cant update from a older image ( pre 3.0 ) online to 3.0 if you understand me.
yes mate i understand will give it a go and let you know how it gos thanks mate
hi mate if i do and update can i then do a restore from back up
hi mate if i do and update can i then do a restore from back up
if that online update was created from a existing ViX 3.0 image yes, if it was created from a earlier 2.4 or lower image then no as it will break certain core functions such as but not limited to the FTP protocol.
Cheers mate update done all good
