Cross EPG settings

can some one please explain why there are settings for updating epg say every 6 hours and also saving epg same, when you can set a scheduled epg update every day, as its not clear to me. :)

Saving EPG (i.e. writing epg.dat) has nothing to do with an EPG download.
The saving option is for special purposes only, so leave it as is if you don't need it.

Thanks, I fully understand that, but as I said also what are the default settings so I can now apply them please, attached is what I believe them to be from memory, but that's not brilliant anymore! :)

Thanks so much, but as I changed these months ago not yesterday i can not remember what they used to be.
