how can i add vlc media player in addons

hello,i am in the process of learning how to stream avi files from
my pc to vu+ solo with blackhole 1.7.8 .i have downloaded vlc 1.0.5
as i have read this is the best version to use,but i am now stuck at
how to install this in my addons.

i am trying to follow the sticky by irish chris , vlc player on vu+ solved,i get to post 19 then i am stuck.
Press menu button on remote then goto plugins.press green button and select extensions from the list. Scroll down till you see vlc and press ok. It will then be in your plugins list -- menu/plugins
does this apply to blackhole image as i go into plugins then when i press green button nothing.
ok just getting there on b.h. menu-plugins- red button manage extensions-software-vlc player.
