Error No CA - How can I fix this - no Null Modem Port?!!!

Hi All

I have the error "No CA" on my DM800 HD. I've seen there is a tool to fix it with a null modem cable which I have, however my HP PC doesnt have the port?! What can I do?

Hi,
"No CA" normally appears if you tried to flash a wrong image. When you flash an DMM image on a clone you get this very often.

Look for an USB->RS232 converter.

Hi, thanks I'll look for the USB converter. I tried to flash the merlin image I think it was? It's not a close though

be careful when you buy the serial/usb convertor. not all work with dreamup have a look around to make sure you get a good one. Cant remember make/model but there are known good uns

I use a PCI to serial card, i have found you get much better results than with the USB to Serial convertors.

Every new PC i have the serial card goes into it :thumbsup:

Ive never ever had dream-up work with a usb to serial convertor on my windows 7, so i bought a PCI TO SERIAL CARD, and it now works no probs, so as nanochikin said use a PCI to serial card m8 ??
