On my Samsung TV, the Quad is recognised as a Anynet+ device. When I turn my TV on to standby it also puts the Quad into Stby, but when I go through the TV settings for Anynet devices it says it cannot connect to it? Anyone else noticed this scenario? BTW, the Quad does not switch back on when the TV is switched on.

hdmi-cec still needs to be fullyimplemented in some way

it doenst work much for me, its very inconsistent.

the only box out of vu, gigablue and xtrend that has worked for me was the et9200, that worked really well.

ET9500 works flawlessly so far with a Samsung 8 series.

Depends on the TV too.
I have an LG 50PS3000 and its worked perfect with the DUO and about 75% with the Quad.
I prefer to use seperate remotes myself :p

i have an LG tv too unfortunatley :(

when i switch my equipment on at the wall socket, i like the tv box to turn on my tv and turn on the amp aswell. all to the correct inputs... saves having to use separate remotes :)
also when i put the stb into deep standby i want it to turn off my tv and amp aswell., then i turn the switch off at the wall.

shud be easy! but no! i now have to use 3 remotes lol

not had it working like this since my et9200 days heh

Easy solution. ditch the three remotes and buy a logitech harmony remote instead LOL.

the easier solution would be for gigablue to sort fully functioning cec :)

it's a two way street mate meaning that half of that also comes down to the TV manufacturer etc. even if Gigablue do fully sort HDMI-CEC you would still need the TV manufacturer to hold up their end and not all currently do.

I use a 600 and a 650 my self, but would not get any model lower than a 600.

ye just lookin at the 650 looks ok and pretty cheapish at £50 or there abouts.

i like the look of the harmony one with the touchscreen functions that would be even easier for the missus to use but it dont have the cloloured buttons :/

Not even the 300, which comes highly recommended?

As your comments above my Samsung is proving very inconsistent and will have to revert to separate remotes.

Make sure to try the Touch very well before using it: IMHO it's unusable.
A R/C trying to look and act like a smartphone

the touch is twice the price of the 650 so i might just stick with the 650 for now.
