Thanks for the image. I love it!

When switched on the unit runs cool with the Fan is working. When in standby the unit gets quite warm so I suspect the Fan is off.

I'm not sure what the Fan Control option is supposed to offer? I've tried ON and OFF with no difference.

How do I get the Fan to stay on in standby?

Many thanks; but why is the receiver case so much warmer on standby then when the unit is on?

If the fan is set to off in standby thats why ;)

Dont worry about the warmth, some users have actually disconnected their fans altogether (although I personally wouldn't recommend doing this).

afraid this is a feature in drivers released after the DE image was built and so not possible.

may be there is an external plugin that i am not aware of

Try this http://www.vuplus-support.co.uk/showthread.php?2017-FanControl-for-Vu-Duo-fix-02.09.2010

disconnected the fan a couple of days after I installed the box about 6 months ago.
I do check it in standby and when running but no problems and of course no noise.
I also have a db7000 which actually appears to get warmer than the vu and the db does not have a fan.
