View Full Version : [VU+ Duo] Vix build 440......won't boot

I've just updated both my duo's to vix 440 and now they won't boot up, they just hang on openvix loading screen.
For it to happen to both boxes, I think there must be a bug in build.

yes mate we know about this, and sorry but we should have made a announcement telling users not to update.

The Fix will be in the next build which andy is doing rite now.

Also, just re flashed one of them and tried to do restore for quickness.....
It also gets stuck in a boot loop....something about my auto timers and power timers error.

Just to let you know.

I suggest you take that build from the feeds till it is sorted.

There is no way to do that, this is also the reason why we have UNSTABLE updates and the auto backup feature, so that when things do go wrong you can return to a previous working image in a matter of minutes.

I have back up but as I said it doesn't work gets stuck in a boot loop.

I wasn't having a go at you about withdrawing the 440 build.

I just thought it would've been an easy thing for you to do and replace the old 439 build until 440 was fixed.

I quite enjoy it when my boxes go a bit "tits up". Means I get to play with them again. Its just my 8 year old daughter who does her nut, when she sees daddy messing about with the tv's again.
I'm gonna get wrong off her in quarter of an hour when I pick her up from school.:D

LMAO i didnt for one second think you were having a pop at me. But as i said there is no way to remove one build from the server until a newer one supersedes it.

as for the bootloop try flashing a virgin 439 image from the OpenViX download site and use the restore option to restore your settings.

It was a virgin build I was flashing.
One of the the boxes is almost up and running again just doing my auto bouquet scan. Should be done by the time I get back in from school ruin......I mean run.

Running 444 here on my uno which is working just fine, not had the chance to update to 445 yet due to recordings.

I just flashed my uno to 444 and it is booting without problem and then updated to 445 and no problem also.

After, restoring my settings from build 433 and rebooted the problem occurs again...It has to be from the settings...not compatible?!!

Now, I flashed back to build 433 and used the same settings and everything is working.

Thats becuase 562 is the latest stable version and we only keep approx last 14 builds per supported receiver.
