What do you need it for?

Single feed ,twin feed, triple feed?
DVB-s, DVB-t....etc...

People would be able to give you a better opinion if you have more information. :)

A good guide to a good unit, is the surport base

if the unit is surported by Vix for example, then its E2 based, and very well surported, as is the case of the unit surgested

You can afford better spec then.

Single tuner VU+ Uno http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/Digital-Satellite-Receivers/Vu/VU-Uno-Single-Tuner-HD-DVB-S2-Linux-Enigma-2-Satellite-Receiver

Or twin tuners VU+ Duo http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/Vu-DUO-Twin-Tuner-HD-PVR-DVB-S2-Satellite-Receiver Or Technomate TM-Twin-OE http://www.world-of-satellite.co.uk/Digital-Satellite-Receivers/Technomate-Linux-HD-Receivers/Technomate-TM-Twin-OE-Enigma-2-Linux-HD-PVR-Twin-Tuner-Satellite-Receiver

So all of those are fullhd 1080p video?

So all of those are fullhd 1080p video?

The only E2 receivers that support 1080p 50/60hz for TV viewing are the XP1000 and the Gigablue Quad. The others mentioned 1080i.

So none of those posted do 1080p,question is 1080i is enough?

Yes they all support 1080p for media playback but there are no tv stations broadcasting in this format and likely not to for some considerable time to come.

dreambox frankly are over priced, surport for them has reduced as well

But yes they are good units, ( I have the 7020 HD ) but really I would look at the VU/Giga range

You want 1080P as Sic has already covered this

Or you happy with 1080I like the rest of us?

If so Single tuners and in this order UNO, , GB 800 SE or UE, XP1000, Vu+SOLO
Twin or even Triple Ultimo, GB QUAD, TM TWIN, VU+ DUO

also be aware that no one transmits in 1080p but even the humble duo supports 1080p for media playback ( avi's etc ).

If you can wait a few weeks then the Vu solo2 has full 1080p and I think it will be the best e2 box on the market.

All the HD boxes have full 1080p for video playback as far as I'm aware, no channels broadcast it though.
Sure someone will jump in & correct me if I'm wrong.

whats diference beetwen the Vu+ SOLO2 from one?

The new one has more memory, more flash ram, a faster processor , VFD display and much more. basically compare it with a laptop you bought 5 years ago and one now on sale for the same price that was, and you should get the basic idea.
