Can't get epg to work! and other stuff!

As the topic says... i can't get my epg to work!
i'm using vix image, and i have go tru the setting 1million times
but it won't work! i can see what's on the channel in the channel infobar
at the moment i just use one satellite Thor on 0.8w
what have i done wrong?

And i have a second question to
i downloaded some picons from this website and copied them to my harddrive
as it was dicribed in that post... but not working!

And my third question is
how tha hell can i create a favourite channel list???
can't find anything in the menu!

As you can see i'm a newbie on this... so all help is appreciated

so now it's the EPG and Picons left

Me too having big problems with epg/channel info/single channel info etc. on Thor on 0.8W (as I reported in another thread).

Picons - do you have a USB stick? if so move picons to a folder labelled PICONS.

Also go to the skins section and you can specify were the picons are, if you select USB, it creates the folder for you, did this yesterday and picons work fine.

What problems are you having with the epg?!

Press the blue button, should give you an epg grabber. Select it, press blue button again to select the sources you want (e.g. sky uk, italia, dplus, nordic, swedish, etc etc). Then, press green to save this. Then, press yellow to do a manual download. Leave the screen on and it should come up giving you the number of titles found etc...

As for the info on the current program, press red, it will give you the program info. Long press red, and it will give you all the items for the current channel you are on. Go to your bouquets, and scroll through to find a different channel, and press the epg button, and it will give you all the program info for that channel. Press the epg button, and it will load the coolepg plugin, which will give you all the program data for all the channels in the current bouquet. Press channel up/down to scroll to a different bouquet... What else is there you could want?!

Rytec Sweden XMLTV And Rytec Nordic XMLTV
and i tryed some radom also just to see if i get some events!

and also i don't react immediately, it has to do it's stuff in the back ground first.

how long are you waiting after it shows zero events?

canthackit: the longest i had it on was about 30-45min i started it and went to the store! :)

where is epglog stored?? i can send it to you so you can take a look at it and see if you find anything :)

Anyway, when you start the download, press the epg button after a few minutes, and it will give you the log, and press (iirc) green to save the log...

I have been having problems with gettting epg as well, tried this pooface guide above and got it to work. But which is better. downloading epg automatically or manually.
