As I have not tried the Openmips image, has anyone got a comparison between the two images. Some comments may be personal preferences but it would be nice to have some views.

Try it and see for yourself, simple. You can easily flashback to ViX and pretty sure you will :D

I tried both and I d like the packaging and support provided by OpenVIX.
Not sure you will get it from openmips (see at the website & forum?)

How could I explain you why I prefer a Volkswagen over a Vauxhall? Best make an extended test-drive yourself, which in this case is very easy (and free of charge!).

Well I didn't change to openmips but I did use the LCD picon file, which although the picon is smaller at least I get all the picons displayed.
