Adding new satellites

Hi i have some satellites in my channel list but cant view them but i can others, when i go to setup/manual scan only some satellites are there not all that are in my channel list eg 4.0e is in channel list but not in system list of satellites?

a lot of sats woill not be viewable if you live in the UK

also we need to know a few more details about your setup/location

what size dish you have

your approx location

in menu/setup/tuner config, it it set to simple or advanced, and is it set up with USALs?

I expect you are uk based, so you should at least be getting 28/19/13/16/7 east and 1/5/8/12/30 west is this the case

also if your using for example a bouquet pack specifically for 28.2 east / sky uk, you would have to update your satellites.xml file to be able to receive other locations.

Hi mate

If you ftp your receiver and look at var/ect/tuxbox your find the satellite.xml file there check out if you have a full satellite list if not you need to download a new xml list for motor system which should include what you need

If you're on ViX you should deal with the location etc/enigma2 and leave the other alone.

Thanks all i changed the xml file in etc/enigma2 and it worked:)
