New sat box , pictures are a bit slow

I am running in a new vu+duo for my sis inlaw. I have installed the basic settings and downloaded freesat. The pictures seem to be running a bit slow, can any of you guys tell me in detail how to rectify the problem. She will be here until to-morrow night. Hope you can help guys. PS i bought it off W.O.S. what do you mean? Sound is there before picture? If yes then you could setup a delay for sound.

I mean its freezing slightly as if frames are stuttering slightly. sound is ok. I have it set at 1080p, maybe thats what the problem is i'll try 1080i in the morning. Thanks for your replies

That is your issue. 1080p 24/25/30 hz is only for media playback, not for TV viewing.
