Timer record issues for vu+ ultimo

Hi purchased this box and have to say I'm really happy with it , just a few issues exist which I hope you kind people can help me with.Firstly does the ultimo record a timer recording when in standby?.I did test this last night and it worked fine , but tonight the timer recording did not work in standby, the only difference was last night I left the box on the same channel it was due to record before putting into standby but tonight the box was on a different channel when put into standby.Does the box need to be left on the relevant channel?,

No it does not, the box also records from standby, it may be a one of and try again. Also check your settings in the recording menu afaik I did not change anything to enable it to record from (deep) standby

Yes the ultimo will happily record program's while in standby or deep standby for that matter. I regularly leave mine in deep standby while at work and all of my recordings are there for me when I get time to watch them.
