Here are some pictures of the latest and updated version of VU+ Duo which comes as rev 1.3 as marked on the system board. Credit's go to whoever took the photo's.

What`s been improved with Rev.1.3. Does the box now wake up and record from Deep standby.
There were rumours of a mod being supplied to upgrade the older boards.

Will flash my box later tonight with the new official image to try and see if the deep standby recording works.

Just for referance, the current revision is not 1.3 i believe it is 2.7. it has a white remote control and it is printed on the board. i dont know what the changes are as yet but if / when i find out i will post.
You 100% sure its 2.7, thought it was 2.3? You able to check yours?

Mine arrived yesterday and its rev 2.3 and is from the last delivery batch!!!!!
Yeah I recieved mine after the apparent new version was released.I haven`t checked the board to see what firmware it is,but it has a white remote,so I doubt it`s the updated one.

Please note the colour of the remote control does 100% NOT dictate what revision the board inside the box, the colour of the remote is just something that either the importer can request from VU+ or as is normally the case just get what they are given from VU+. I'll be quite honest after the revision 1.3 then not sure what the difference is on updated revisions, I am guessing that it's not actually any difference to the board itself and more to do with when they have been made (there is also the date on board) and perhaps for where the stock was intended to go, Europe, UK etc. I don't know this as fact though, is only a guess, but anything from 1.3 and above will work with recording from deep standby so really I honestly wouldn't be to concerned what you have as long as it's at least 1.3, but 100% the colour of remote does NOT dictate board revision. :)

2.3 from same UK batch as last time, we'd just about ran out last week was all so just mentioned we got a new batch in today.... but still same revision, white remote etc.
I will just again though remind buys, colour of remote does not dictate revision of the board inside and in any case revision inside really does not matter as long as you have Rev. 1.3 or above you are not missing ANYTHING that anyone else has.... As I say though todays stock is Rev 2.3 anyway.

Have bought 2 recently for friends both are revision 2.3 one remote was black and one was white so it looks like pot luck what you get!

Agreed, I recently got a Humax Freeview box and it has a jet black really shiny remote, looked great when unpacked, now is just a mess of greasy fingerprints.

Also, I imagine all suppliers now would be selling v 2.3 of this box, as the older revisions are now quite old, and stock has been out of stock a fair few times with all suppliers (obviously getting them back in stock to supply to customers, but then running out of stock again...)

We are expecting stock (like all other sellers in the UK) early next week. They arrive in the UK on Monday, but will need to clear customs and make their way to retailer's. They will be the latest revision.
