Hi,

I want to install the latest Vu+duo drivers.

Following drivers were obtained from the official vuplus archives:

mbox-dvb-modules-bm750-2.6.18-7.3-4.1.1-20100827.tar.gz

mbox-dvb-modules-bm750-2.6.18-7.3-4.4.3-20100827.tar.gz

My question is : Do we have to install all of them. Both have the same date but different versions.

By the way what is the difference between the two.

Thanks

What image are you using? It may already contain the latest drivers ;)

The difference is between the version of gcc used to compile...

If you telnet in to the box, and type "ipkg list", then look for the version of gcc, denoted by something like "libgcc1 - 4.4.3-r0.1". If its 4.4.3, then install those drivers. If 4.1.1, then use the 4.1.1 drivers :p

don't think it will be having them. just update and even if the image has it, no problem will be caused.

Found libgcc1 - 4.4.3-r0.1 Thanks pooface.

I installed the new driver dated 27/8/2010 and rebooted.

After rebooting the driver is still dated 20/8/2010.

For some strange reason AAF Hotsummer v.2 did not accept the upgarde and went back to the one dated 20/8/2010. I tried it several time without luck

Any ideas why?

i think it was written once that u can ftp the files to their corresponding locations and then restart the box, not just the gui
