Please help. Just received my new Duo box and installed internal hard drive, no problems. Install the CCams IPA using FTP client and created a config file (CCam.cfg) and put it in the /etc folder. But when I press the Blue button and go to Softcam setup, I press green and it says "No config files found, please set up CCam first". I'm going mental, been trying to sort it out for 5 hours now, tried everything but no luck. The cfg file is definitely in the right place but the box doesn't seem to see it.

Any advice? Cheers

If its named Ccam.cfg that's your problem as its supposed to be
Cccam.cfg

This is what I did:

CC Cam IPK file goes in /Temp
CC Cam.config goes in /Etc

its not .config

you need CCcam.cfg in var/etc/

then will work

Its /etc not var/etc if your using a E2 image

E2 images dont use the var/etc location thats only for E1 images, for E2 images it's just etc/

On E2 machines, CCcam.cfg lives in /etc/

Isn't /var/etc/ just a symlink to /etc/ anyway?! So, shouldn't matter...

No need for 755 as the file needs only to be read.

Now your getting technical for me:) but yes your right it will also take you to the same location but other way is one less click;):)

The same applies to the /tmp directory being a symlink of /var/volatile/tmp

they would not get this error if cccam has not already been installed

all you need to do is:

you need CCcam.cfg in var/etc/
