Username for tlenet

im trying to use Putty to Telnet into my box a command

When i open putty and type in ip address the black window appears but is asking my for LOGIN and PASSWORD?

can someone tell me what this would be if im using a Vix Image on a VU+DUo

I am talking about Putty when i open a telnet to the box it asks for username password

type root then click on enter
and so u r logged in

Also make sure your typing root not Root or anything else.
It's case sensative.

You will need to set a password before it will allow you to connect

Type "passwd"
& then Type your new password
It will ask you to confirm password again

Then just Login with "root" & "whatever password you have set"

did you set the putty for telnet the default setting is ssh. very similar but wont play ball the same. look just like the telnet screen but works differently.

I am having this same problem here. seem to have forgotten pass work for the box. Anyway to solves this problem without re flashing the box. am presently want to stick with dream elite image. thanks for all ur help

have you changed the password??

if you hav,nt...then its root/blank as in nothing at all

The password have been changed and from the default one. I cant remeber this password. do i need reflash my box or not? As i dont want to change my image for now. anyway to recovere this pass word or crate a new one without reflashing my box.
