Slow box with Timeshift and Vix logo spinning

Just hooked up a USB hard drive and tried activating Timeshift. If I pause the box slows down on play and takes ages to stop what's been recorded. The vix logo spins on and off.

Also tried recording and get constant breakup of the picture on playback.

I have disabled Timeshift and all is back to normal.

On build 378.

Any pointers?

Did you initialize the drive correctly?

Just tested here with timeshift, performance does slow a little, but nothing too drastic. No spinners or anything like that. Make sure you initilized your HDD correctly and make sure the timeshift path is correct. Permenant timeshift is more than usable here.

Re initialised the hard drive and this seems to have solved it.

Remember this has a 333mhz single core CPU, you cant expect it to perform like a Duo that has a dual core 405mhz cpu. Although timeshift is usable, there will always be a slight performance drop.
