View Full Version : timer auto bouquet not showing
hello
right ive had 2 mins to play and worked out why my timers are not showing after moving to LraiZer AB
the timer uses the wrong channel when made, this can be manually updated then it shows
again i know this is nothing major but i really want to fix it
to fully understand i have attached screenshots
this one is what the autotimer generates
20235
when i update it it looks like this
20236
once updated it shows in epg
20234
Am i missing something@ 520 is discovery HD and the timer is in the Vix Epg showing as red with padding for start and end time?
The first two screens shots have you edited the 520 out?
no the first screen is what the autotimer has generated - with the 520 missing
when i edit it and select the channel it adds the 520 thus showing in the epg
i guess this must be a plugin issue as flipflops always used to work?
thanks for the quick reply
What build are you on? thought we had updated Timer Entry screens?

And after any changes have been made to channels/bouquets it's best to restart Enigma, to be assured all new settings are really being used (Enigma has a lot in live-memory). Did you do that before adding timers?
im running 3.0.204 - i though this was the latest stable release
and yeah ive restarted, makes no different
another thing ive noticed, when i add an autotimer, the channel is correct: shown here:
20238
but when this migrates threw to the autotimer it drops the 101
this is a fresh install with only AB installed
any help? thanks!

I would upgrade to the present build (373) as it is very difficult to say something sensible about the behaviour of old builds.
Just checked my timers and autotimers and not one comes up with the number just channel name. Tried new timer and AT and same thing.
Try the AB plugin from the feed but will have to uninstall the current one first.
i have updated to 373
and its still the same
when i add the auto timer the channel number is there but when the autotimer generates the timer then it drops the number?
any more help?
right ive had another poke around
when i downloaded all my channels in dreamboxedit and clicked on 101 bbc1 for example in the service list it points it bbc1 without the number (the raw channel?)
so i guess its the autotimer causing the issue here?
is this an easy fix?
anyone have any help with this?
If you set show channel numbers to no & then do an autobouquets scan, do you still get the same issue?
If you set show channel numbers to no & then do an autobouquets scan, do you still get the same issue?
it does remove so it looks like it was going to work but still not showing in EPG. if you go into the timer and tell it the channel it then shows just like with the numbers
mmmmm?
What EPG sources are you using?
I have multiple auto-timers running here without issue while using autobouquets.
ive been upgrading to a ultimo the last day
now thats its running still in the same boat
the EPG sources are from opentvproviders sly uk (top one)
if someone could spend some time and work this out ill be happy to donate some beer tokens!!! :)

I see exactly the same on my timers. Channel numbers missing.using autobouquet and open tv providers,cross epg. Just to confirm........but it doesn't bother me cos my timers still record the program correctly.

I'm not exactly sure what the problem is. Channel numbers are only showing when in channellist and on infobar (if set to show at all). They never have been used in any timer, and they still aren't. And as channel number is not a unique way to identify channels (the service reference is) there doesn't seem to be a way to do this.
And imagine if this was to be implemented: any change in the settings list would change the channelnumber and hence the channel being recorded. And using (auto)timers after a flash (or copying to another box) would never be possible at all.
And apart from technical reasons not to be able to implement channel numbers in timers: I'm missing the whole point. Isn't a channel name much more obvious to use than a channel number?
im not bothered about the channel numbers, ive got them off
all i want is the timer that the autotimer generates to show in the EPG. for some reason it is not, if you modify the timer and tell it the same channel, it then shows up in the EPG
i can show this in step by step screenshots if necessary
again ill supply beer tokens for this to be fixed :eek: :eek:

i can show this in step by step screenshots if necessary
Please do so.
right here i go
ill try and be as detailed as i can
so i go to add an autotimer from the epg
20304
press blue
20305
just settings so you can see
20306
add this timer
then get this as per normal
20307
now look in the EPG, not showing up
20308
look in autotimers
20309
settings so you can see
20310
timer settings
20311
now showing the channel the autotimer has generated
20312
now if i select the channel again from the channel list
20313
now when i go to the epg, it shows up red
20314
this is the end result
again thanks for taking the time to look at this!

Thanks for the detailed explanation. I could replicate this. Indeed: only on a channel created by AutoBouquets. On any other channel it works as advertised.
I'll make a bugreport about this.
cheers rob!
also to note if you make a one off timer, this works perfectly
and yeah this has only started happening since the autobouquets, used to work fine on flipflops
please show the timers.xml at each stage, i can see what is change after you select to the channel manually.
as requested here is an example timer
generated from the AB
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<timers>
<timer begin="1350751020" end="1350754500" serviceref="1:0:1:1947:7FF:2:11A0000:0:0:0:" repeated="0" name="Pointless Celebrities" description="1/9. Celebrities from the music world test the depths of their general knowledge in a special edition of the quiz. Contestants include Faye and H, Chico and Sinitta and Scott Mills. Also in HD. [S]" afterevent="auto" eit="53499" tags="" disabled="0" justplay="0" descramble="1" record_ecm="0">
</timer>
</timers>
when i select the service again
it adds ":BBC 1 NE & C"
<?xml version="1.0" ?>
<timers>
<timer begin="1350751020" end="1350754500" serviceref="1:0:1:1947:7FF:2:11A0000:0:0:0::BBC 1 NE & C" repeated="0" name="Pointless Celebrities" description="1/9. [S]" afterevent="auto" eit="53499" tags="" disabled="0" justplay="0" descramble="1" record_ecm="0">
</timer>
</timers>
thanks
is this what you wanted
thanks!
is this what you wanted
thanks!
Yes, it is what was wanted & the obvious difference is the serviceref, thank you.
No need for sarcasm, if that's what you're actually attempting?
Sometimes it takes more than a day to look into, fix, or create new solutions to what might be a problem.

.
none attempted
tbh, not going to spend time on this, as i am working on a completely new plugin with 'Skaman' called 'AutoBouquetsMaker' a totally new plugin no code from the original plugin, completely written in C++ and python (no bash scripting).
and we have not have this issue in testing this plugin, it is not quite ready for public yet.

It would be very much appreciated if E1 receivers could be kept in mind with the ABM.
