no VIX menu option after flashing new images, can flash 2.4 and it appears

Hi i bought the box from here just over 2 years ago,
its been great and easy to flash new images via usb ,

I decided i wanted to upgrade to the new openvix 03 images
so i flashed over my vix 2.4 ,all went as it should via the front panel.

but when the box boots i dont get the option of the VIX menu.
menu ..setup..NO VIX at the bottom.
or if i press the blue button just cross epg or picture in picture ,
or long blue press for plugins.

Have tried 03.339 and a few variants inbetween ,
i am now on the latest via online update.

anyone any ideas pls?

Did you run new boot loader first?

3.0-339 is now a very old build, try flashing directly to 3.0-364 then update to 3.0-370 via the online updates feature.

you can get 3.0-364 from the ViX image server here

Do not restore any settings backups made from a previous image.

did you restore your 2.4 settings? This is a mistake. Try without restore.

Hi ,i never used restore always like a fresh start.
long story short this has got me the vix menu again thankyou.

I flashed 364 via the link ,still no VIX.
then i selected online update, the backupmanager kicked in and failed at 81%
saying 'wrong destination or no space'
So i initialised the harddrive even though i knew it was not even half full.
then i did online update again.
and when it finished VIX was there :thumbsup:

so thanks for you help guys ,happy again
