hdd just arrived its a Samsung - EcoGreen F2 Desktop Class HD502HI - Hard drive - 500 GB - internal - 3.5'' - SATA-300 - 5400 rpm - buffer: 16 MB. just opened box hdd wont fit in its about an inch thick.bit like my head i think helpppppp

the actual hdd measures 1 inch thickness.when i fit it to cradle.the cradle wont fasten down

It fits on top off the cradle not inside it, you remove the cradle in order to fix the screws to the HDD from beneath.

thats what the rubber gromets are for

so the drive has clearence/air flow

well thanks everyone.up and running.on the de image.saved epg to usb stick everything seems ok.could not of done it without your help thanks

This is something that's neglected in the instruction manual. Even a simple pic of a HD sitting on TOP of the cradle would be enough for someone that never done it before.
