Not sure what you mean with 'placed all the files onto the root of a usb', but please make sure to leave the folderstructure in place.

do i place the .zip file onto the usb root or extract it 1st?
thanks
you extract the .zip file but you must also have the correct file structure on the stick otherwise it wont read the files properly. I dont have one of these boxes so i'm not sure of the exact file structure but no doubt some one who is will help as and when they see this thread.

What's the name of the top-folder?
I believe that you must first flash the appropriate bootloader first to the receiver before attempting to flash the ViX image.

are you sure you have the correct file structure on those sticks ?.

You must have either the wrong bootloader flashed or wrong file structure on your USB stick.

use a kingston usb stick, worked a treat for me pal:thumbsup:
this worked for me on a gigablue 800ue
press the OK button in front of the receiver near the cards (not on tv remote)
press and hold on a while this little button while you start the receiver with usb & right image on it.
Hope this can help.
Best regards.
