doesnt matter what image i try i cant get the box to reconise the usb pen drive when trying to flash, i have placed all the files onto the root of a usb, and it just boots up as if nothing is plugged in?

any help as i am stumped!:confused::confused::confused:

Not sure what you mean with 'placed all the files onto the root of a usb', but please make sure to leave the folderstructure in place.

do i place the .zip file onto the usb root or extract it 1st?

you extract the .zip file but you must also have the correct file structure on the stick otherwise it wont read the files properly. I dont have one of these boxes so i'm not sure of the exact file structure but no doubt some one who is will help as and when they see this thread.

thanks, theres a file structure once unzipped and even if kept the same there is still no joy :(:confused:

I believe that you must first flash the appropriate bootloader first to the receiver before attempting to flash the ViX image.

will try the bootloader 1st, but i thought it would already have a bootloader on :confused:

wont even reconise the pen with the bootloader on :confused: tryed a few pens too, formatted to fat32 etc

FINALLY SORTED!!!

turns out the 3 diffrent usb sticks i used was not compatible with the gigablue :confused:

installed fresh image a treat

are you sure you have the correct file structure on those sticks ?.

You must have either the wrong bootloader flashed or wrong file structure on your USB stick.

use a kingston usb stick, worked a treat for me pal:thumbsup:

this worked for me on a gigablue 800ue

press the OK button in front of the receiver near the cards (not on tv remote)

press and hold on a while this little button while you start the receiver with usb & right image on it.
