Recieved my gagablue box today but all i get is a red ring like its on standby but cant power it up. I had to use an alternative transformer (output 12vdc 3a) as the one supplied is a 2pin.

Any ideas?

Thanks

You should NOT use an alternative PSU. If you where missing a 2 pin plug adapter you should have contacted where you purchased or obtained another. I suggest using a 2pin to 3pin plug adapter and hope you haven't damaged the receiver by using an 'alternative' PSU.

Ok thanks, but what difference would it make if its the same output as the 2pin?

The PSU supplied is tested and supplied by Gigablue and to their exact spec. Alternative PSU's are not. I've tested with others and not found one that works. You should either contact where you purchased to obtain a plug adapter or purchase one locally.
