Dream-Elite Server Softcam ONLINE

FOR DREAMBOX and VU+DUO

Tested on VU+Duo with Dream-elite 1.3.3F

1- Install "DE-softcam-feed.ipk"

2- Go to: MENU -> SETUP -> SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT -> ADVANCED OPTIONS -> PACKETS MANAGEMENT -> push RELOAD

after install DE-softcam-feed.ipk i have go to MENU -> SETUP -> SOFTWARE MANAGEMENT
after that not ADVANCED OPTIONS ? this poblem in Dream800 and VU+Duo please help me

You can try this.
I use vuduo with DE.

If you do not see advanced options (in software management) do this:

Menu
set up
system
customize

change setup mode to expert (on the top )
save (OK)

And try again.

I tried to connect to DE server via the Addons Download Manager and I keep getting 'Sorry, Connection Failed'. Pls could this be related to the issue above? Is there a solution to connect to server. Sorry, if this post is in a wrong section.

DE team have closed for the moment, along with the forum and the feeds.

So no more support on DE at present.

And yes no more support from DE.At least now.
(but I think that was old information)

"Dream-Elite Server Softcam ONLINE" is still working and they have added a little bit more today.

And they are normal satellite people who still try to help people using DE.

Also they are collecting files (addons,plugins etc.) just to help those people who want to use DE still.

I can say nothing else but Very Big Thanks to those who are doing it.:D

I tried the New Dream Elite 1.33f Patched tdt el_zari,and found I had no connection to the internet.After trying everything I went back to my tried and trusted DE image,with the same problems.Now I find this thread and realise what the problem is.But I don`t know how to install Cccam 2.14 so I can have my system back to normal.
Any help greatly appreciated guys.

Why not try the VIX Image?
Then download from the pluggins menu?

tried Vix image,it`s far too basic for my liking.Is there anyway I can get Cccam 2.1.4 on the dream elite image. I have a ipk package of it,but I cannot get it installed on the duo.

You should be able to just copy it to the /tmp directory and then install it from there.

ipkg install *.ipk

(I think that's the correct command)
Just make sure your in the /tmp dircectory

I didn`t see this file before,blind as a bat. I`ve tried all ways to install cccam,nothing worked.I will give this a go.

just ftp the file to /tmp
and then install eith through the manual install through telnet

ipkg install /tmp/*.ipk

or through the interface in the image itself

Ok I`ve done that.Now where should I be able to see this plugin? I don`t see it in the green panel(Plugins).

All sorted. The main issue of being offline is now sorted.I just hope the good people that are trying to sort DE again can get the plugins and other utilities back online. I`m happy I have DE back though.
