xtrend 5000 red green lights

help so needed bit of newbie to this ..xtrend 5000 red green lights on front have tried re-flashing and loading image but still nothing
any links most appreciated

How long ago did you last flash the image as you may need to update bootloader with new image.

Also when you flashed were they any other usb sticks connected, if so remove them and try gain.

hi.. only just carried it out tried new bootloader with latest image vix 2.4.96 no other usb connected. when I flashed orange light did not come on but with image it did..

Make sure the image folder is 5x00 and no other files are on the usb. power box down from switch at back, insert usb ,power back on and make sure you press up on front panel and keep it pressed until lights come on.

Hi Stanman I have the post from vix 15 5 2012 --- I clear usb then extract files from flash/bootloader carry out process u suggested still red/green. I then clear usb extract files from image to usb same process but orange and green lights come on finishes then big white letters openvix across screen and underneath all your support needs at world of satellite.com red/green lights back on

Hi , no I carry out what I said above and that display comes on no loading or starting appears red/green lights on display no remote functions.. a real pain...

I would try and format the stick again and download image and try again.

I flashed my ET5 3 times yesterday and it worked fine.

No other USB sticks and off from the rocker at the back and than on and up button on front panel - you should get red and orange light if its flashing

ooh man... fat32 usb and tried new ones the bootloader usb flashes but red/green lights stay on when i do image green/orange come on and when finished goes back to red/green

Got me stumped man, have done this tons of time without any problems.

same problem here with et6000.tryed anything,no success.Flashing with fat32 usb,bootloader and firmware,reboots and stoped at initial screen.No remote control no nothing.also green red lights always on

unplug any USB devise connected to Xtrend. Plug only the usb with the flash file
