but when i set tuner b for urals, it crashes when i go to do a scan?

if the unit is crashing, it sounds like you might have a coax cable "short" ( outer braiding connecting to the inner core ) check the coax cable at the reciever end/motor end, and both ends of the fly lead to the lnb

ok this is my set up

turner a, to fixed 28.2
turner b brand new motor and leads

seems working as i picked bbc hd, a logo top right saying dish moving from 16e to 28.2

but if i want bbc hd, how do i get it just to go to tuner a? and not move dish? as what if i was recording on motor?

set tuner B to not configed, then see if you get 28 east via tuner A

normally, the unit would use tuner A for recording, and if you were doing so, then wanted to watch another channel on 28, the dish would then move to 28, so i suspect the 28 east dish might not be aligned

the 28 is fixed, working for 3 years, 4 boxes off it and works ok mate :) 91% signal
thats what i have been using for 9 months, tuner a 28.2 and tuner b was 13.e fixed

should i then use a for motor and b for fixed? to be honest if i do any recording with be only on sky 28.2 mostly
just doing a sat finder at mo on the box to check signals

Thats your choice really,..but it makes no great difference either way

if the tuner preference is set to AUTO which is standard with any VIX image if you record on 28 est, the unit would normally use the fixed dish first

As Basil says box always defaults to fixed first.

I have same setup here as well as a usb tuner and when recording, box used the two fixed tuners before the motor feed

ok, so basically, tuner a is picked for any recording anyway? and if i move tuner b, then a wont be effected?

ok scans all done

re downloads my cross epg, it moved the dish to 13e then back to 28.2 then back to 13e, should i make a setting about main tuner is "A" then it wont use the motor to update 28.3 epg?

when i pick a channel it moves dish again for 28.2
