Vu uno will not remember chan rename

i have been renaming all the sct's on 13 to prive tele italia etc using dream edit and uploading new file but on a vu reboot they revert back to sct 4 4b etc. Have cleared all the parental locks as well and checked to see if read only.
any advice please

Hi,
try to disable background channel scan. When you changed the names did you do a hard reboot? Because when you did not reload the new channel list and you restart your STB the current list will be saved before restarting.

Disabling backgroundscan is not advised. The way to go, after changing channel names, is to lock them. Depending on the editor used, that functionality can have a name like 'untouched by STB' or 'locked' or several others.
