Hope someone can help with this -

I've installed CCam 2.3 on my Ultimo (complete with ViX 3.0).

In softcam manager when I enable and start CCcam I get this message
"No config files found, please setup cccam first in /etc/CCcam.cfg"

However there is a CCcam.cfg in etc directory and it has the same detail (albeit with different syntax) as my pctuner card that is active and working.

Not sure whether message means that CCcam.cfg is not being found or if it is detecting an error within file.

(CCam.cfg was created with notepad and saved as ANSI encoding)

Help please - this is driving me round the bend

CCam.cfg was created with notepad and saved as ANSI encoding
Should be UNIX/UTF-8

For the future, your much better of downloading and installing notepad+++++, way better than notepad an will save and display files properly

My CCcam is now working and I'm no longer going "round the bend".

Thanks for the tips given above.

I downloaded notepad++ and created a new CCcam.cfg with the settings in notepad set as format=Unix and encoding= "UTF-8 without BOM".
From there it was a simple matter of an ftp transfer to etc directory, a reboot and bingo "all system are go".

Really pleased with Ultimo and Vix image.
A Lan connection to PC makes my PC tuner card redundant - happy days!

Guy's

Spot on i followed a combination of this and Punisher's Tutorial on how to install CCcam and now have 2.3.0 active.
The restart did not enable and i got the same message regarding CCcam.cfg but a full shutdown fixed.
This was a first attempt as a newbie so i am more than pleased.

Happy days!
