If I have the correct flash file structure for both Uno and Duo on a usb and then connect the usb to a Duo for flashing, does the Duo know to use the flash file from the Duo folder.

Never ever do this. You can brick your receiver this way.

Hi mate

price of usb stick so cheap now days you can keep them separate or keep the main files on your desktop/lappy and down load to usb stick as and when needed, as already informed it will damage your stb if you use the wrong file.
