Fan Question

Hi,
would u recommend to keep the fan on or off in standby mode?

I leave mine set to off in standby... When the box is recording in standby or on, then it automatically puts the fan on... So, you should be ok.

If you consider that the dm800/8000 doesn't have a fan, then I think that it shouldn't even really need the fan. But, if you have the option to keep it running when watching the tv (which is when it's likely to get hottest), then that's what I do...

I agree with pooface ! my 7025+ used to run really hot .... no fan no problems . the Vu+ runs really cool compared to all the dreamboxs i,ve had .
