Hi Guys,

I currently have a DUO with internal HDD in my living room. Am I right in thinking that I could install a Solo upstairs (with it's own feed etc), and record to the HDD on the DUO downstairs?

I could then view recordings from the DUO's HDD on either receiver?

Cheers

Havent tried it as such, but when i was setting my solo up in my back room last week, and i went to set up the mountpoints, when it recognized and connected to my duo in my main room, there was an option to "use as HDD" on screen.

So i imagine this is was your looking for..... that was on the black hole image on the solo (duo using latest vix)

Yes. I have 3 receivers set up. Duo, Uno and a ultimo , all have their own internal hard drives and all are networked together allowing me to record to any HD from any receiver and view content from any HD on any receiver. It's very easy to setup and use.
