Hi guys,

Struggling here to update to the latest image (3.0). I uploaded the vuplus folder to the root of my USB, switched off from switch on the back of box and then inserted USB and switched on. I then get the 'Starting' message followed by the VU Duo Screen without my receiver actually reading the USB.

Currently using the following:

Version: 2.2.100
Image: Release
Last Update: 2011-07-21 10:24

Can anyone shed some light as to where I am going wrong?

Thanks in advance

You will have to update the bootloader 1st.. if your way back on 2.2.1

You will find it ....HERE.... (http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?14236-Vu-Duo-ViX-2-3-%28Linux-3-1-1%29-Image-Release-s)

just flash the cfe file as you would an image..

Then flash the image after that..

Thanks for the speedy response mate.

I've tried the old bootloader but no luck still....running out of patience lol

Can't think of what else it can be. I know the USB is fat format too...

Do you have another usb stick in the back of the Duo.. ??

If yes.. then remove that and try again..

As advised update the bootloader 1st.

If USB stick is not being recognised, format with this tool http://www.world-of-satellite.com/showthread.php?45-USB-Format-Tool also try another USB stick.

It was the USB!

Thanks guys

well at least your now sorted. it is a known quirk of the Vu's that they can be picky with the USB sticks they accept for flashing images etc, although mine have never shown a problem with my USB sticks.
