Unable to play mp3 files

I have a new Vu+ with the very latest Vix image loaded today but am unable to play mp3 files. Have tried from the media plugin but crashes. Have used 'recorded movies' key to access network sources and crashes. Have copied mp3 files to the internal HDD and crashes. I can locate the files ok on any of the various sources tried but as soon as I press OK or the 'play' key the system crashes. Part of error message says 'failed to create gstreamer pipeline'. All help appreciated.

Hi,
you should find a crashlog on either at /media/hdd/logs or if you do not have a hdd /home/root/logs. Post a log from one of your crashes here.

I am not able to replicate your crashes but neither am i able to actually play any audio / mp3 files on the ultimo using the inbuilt media player. The exact same files work perfectly on the Duo using the same image.

I have attached the last part of the log that seems to relate to the point at which the mp3 file was selected. Part way through the log there were lots of lines saying "crc32!failed is ....etc." but I think these may relate to freesat channels that I had not selected?

no problem here with media player and dream-explorer. But I have installed a lot of streaming plugins I did not test new image.
