I am having the wrong time showing on my ultimo after flashing it with VIX 2.4. Eventhough I set the timezone to London and Dublin, its still shows -1hr ie 4 instead of 5:00. Is there anyway I can correct this on the time setting.

Yes I am but it still doesn't change it. I have even tried the other option its the same thing.

Since the clocks changed at the weekend I have the same issue with my VU+ Duo time settings are currently set to GMT and sync using transponder time. If I try and change to GMT+1 it changes the time to 2hrs ahead GMT? I have tried rebooting and switching off but still shows the wrong time any idea how to resolve this?

ViX Version 2.4 Build: 213

That's a very old image, try a newer image as a fix was released for this sometime ago, but we can no longer issue fixes for this and other older images.

Since you are both using image 2.4, first suggestions would be to Flash to 3.0 and upgrade to latest build (643 currently).

Then, see if your problem still remains

Yes, but restoring settings from 2.4 to 3 will cause problems I'm pretty sure iirc (this old brain ain't been good at the best of times)...

Ok so I would go into image manager and select green button new backup it will save to my USB, then when I reflash to 3 how do I get my channel lists back etc?

What lists do you use, I'm sure you'll find an updated bouquet on the site, or you could use one of the autobouquet plugins. They will have you up and running in a matter of minutes, and they'll always keep you up to date with transponder changes.

You will be better off in the long run, I'm betting you will be done in half hour maximum.

Would I be better doing a factory reset then reflash or is the reset not required?

Do not restore any settings backups from ViX 2.4 to ViX 3.0 as that will cause problems, you can however back up the whole image in case you want to return to it at some time.

Ok so should I restore to factory settings before reflash or just reflash?

no need for a factory reset as the process of flashing the image it self erases the one already on the receiver.

I dont know if there in the feeds yet but over the past few days i have pretty much updated the whole E2 bouquet section for the OE-Alliance with all the very latest settings, plus we have ABM ( AutoBouquetsMaker ) built in to the image which can build a custom sky uk bouquet list in a few minutes.

I have just moved to openvix and my time is also out by one hour

the image I installed is openvix-3.0.720-vuduo_usb

apart from the time being 1 hour out and the very slow channel change times I do quite like this image :)

channel change times shouldn't be slow. Did you do a settings restore from an earlier build?
Also, as for the time being out by an hour, have you booted to a local channel?

What is the time zone you have set?
And what is the time zone you're living in?

Anyway: this thread is about a time-zone issue in ViX 2.4. As this is a very old image, there's only one reasonable advice: flash your box with ViX 3-727.
