Set up timers from iphone

i have got various iphone apps to control vu plus duo
these all work using wifi in the home
however i am trying to set up timers while away from home but cannot connect to the box
i think it is a router port forwarding issue
i have a netgear router and have set up port 8080
but still cannot connect when outside the lan
anyone any tips to set this up thanx
i can access the webif remoteley but cannot see any option to set a timer

hi,
you need dyndns address.
your router must forward your port 8080 to port 80 of your stb.
in your app you must setup your dyndns address and port 8080.

sometimes the port cannot be setup in an app then you could try <your dyndns address>:8080
