mgcamd on vix latest

Does anyone have the files for mgcamd that work on the latest vix image.

Tried a few. First one would not install. Second one looked like it installed but there was nothing in the softcam manager for me to enable.

Any ideas?

EDIT: Managed to get version 1.35a installed and enabled. No success with 1.38.

There is no MGcamd 1.38 for the Vix image..

The only one is 1.35a and it works perfectly..

Vix has its own softcams..

for those files,curious as 2 are nearly the same but differ in size,i wondered is there any difference in choosing either as i was stopped as unsure what is the correct one or they all work? softcams i refer to.:confused:

Ahh nice. So 1.35a is the latest that works on vix for mgcamd. I'm all set for the cam then. Thanks

Is there any advantage of using mgcamd over cccam?
I currently use cccam without any problems

CCcam is server and client..

MGcamd is client only..

I find MGcamd alot more stable than CCcam..

Wont say an awful lot more as this is touching rule breaking..

mgcamd 1.38 works fine on vix 3.0
i tested it myself over the weekend.

theres no such thing as vix only softcams LOL, all thats different in the vix image to other images is the location of the softcam. nothing else.

as long as the binary is in /usr/softcams the the vix softcam manager will pick it up.

almost any softcam can be installed manually if you know where to place the files, but not all softcams will show in the softcam manager and not all .ipk's will work with the ViX image unless they have been specifically built so that they place all the necessary files in the correct folders.
