Hi guys,
Just a quick question before I format my HDD. I have bought a WD20EARX HDD.
I intend to use WD align software for my XP laptop to partition 4K sector drive and EaseUS to format drive.
I have read HDD should be formatted EXT3.
Does this mean I will not be able to download and view the recorded files on my laptop?
I can with my DM600pvr.
Could I not format drive to NTFS or would solo not be able to mount, initialise and use it properly?
I still have original image installed on box. Should I mount drive with this?
Would I have to remount drive after reflashing to a different image?
Should I unplug drive before reflashing?
Would new image mount HDD automatically if it was still inserted into rear USB?
Are there any images which would make using a 2TB drive difficult?
Are there any images which would make using a 2TB drive easier?
Is telnet the best or only way to mount drive? (Image dependant I reckon)
I'm sorry about all the questions but I want to get this one right.
Thanks guys for any help you could provide.
