One more question, how comes there is still no Anglia region on the local area selection still?

Post numbers, not names. I am asking this so you understand how it works better.

They will be created in the order of sort file selected. No need for edits.

Numbers? Do you mean what they are on the bouquets now. Ie
BBC One East 961 to 1?
Itv anglia & Anglia +1 is not on the bouquet nor is london live.

Look at the csv file (if necessary) or in the "other" bouqet and post the numbers you want. Ignore the brackets, I have just put them to better explain.

961 (BBC One East)
101 (BBC HD, if swapped)
102 ( BBC two)
142 ( BBC two HD)

Got ya.
961 = BBC one east to 01
88 = Itv anglia east to 03
65 = Itv anglia +1 to 04
1050 = london live to 117

Hope this is what you mean.

In the order you want in the entertainment bouquet please. You have given only four numbers. Don't you want BBC 2 and chanenls between 105 to 116 in the bouquet?

I believe you are getting mixed up between sort and swap. Forget swap for now please.

I cannot see it even listed on the sky guide site, it is listed on abm under freesat but not sky. If it helps on the official receiver it is BBC One East and Itv anglia if that helps.

Still waiting on your list of numbers.

From the Neutrino Version, The ITV selectons are
If east, 4097 21.
If south, 4097 18
if west, 4097 27

This makes your options.

Norfolk,
London/Essex

There is no such thing. It's always the best to create your own settings.
If you don't want to do that, you can download settings from our feeds (using the plugin browser).

You can't remove them from the main list.

If you use custom sort 3, they won't appear in bouquets.

If you use the other plugin, AutoBouquetsMaker, and Luke's xml file, they will be removed from both.

Can someone please shed some light on my issue.
Everytime i do a scan using Autobouquet E2 my numbers always start from 1000 :(
Ive tried deleting them from webif and doing the san again
Ive tried deleting them manual using ftp and doing a scan
Ive even used the searching option within the image and then used autobouquet e2 but always the same.
Im getting really frustrated with this.
There must be a guru on here who know how to solve this...
Pretty please with a cherry on top :)

abu baniaz

There are two numbers (unless you use HD first). The main bouquet numbering and then the numbering in bouquets.

Which are you referring to?

farenheit
01-09-14, 21:23
It's all so confusing :(
Ok.. it says 28.2 ... at the top, then Ent.. Mov .. etc
My entertainment starts at 1025 or something..
All i want is to have it set up like sly, starting at 101. Sounds like its simple but im wracking my brain, and also i cant find any information on what the different bouquet styles are.

abu baniaz
01-09-14, 21:31
Why are you getting confused? You will have the main bouquet. The channels in entertainment etc will be in addition to the main one.

Numbering still works.

If it bothers you, in your sort option, select HD first.

Thanks brother, the only reason its bothering me is that ive been at it all day yesterday and all evening today after work. And each time deleting the bouquets and rescanning.
At times i even used the built in search function which takes the best part of a day.
Can you please enlighten what each bouquet style is? And what purpose will having HD 1st have?
Im retiring for the night now... have to be up for 5am, ill give it a bash tomorrow.
Thanks though.

I never grasped the style options. When I queried, repsonse went over my head. Also depends waht image you use it on.

Having HD first, will mean that your main bouquet will be 1-100 and will contain the HD channels. Your entertainment one will then start at 101.You do not have to select a HD region for it.

Hi, anyone use this on OpenATV image, doesnt seem to work as good as it does on Openpli or vix, example the swap doesnt work or even setting the bouquet style either ? anyway to it working like it does on other images ?

Thanks

Wouldnt that mean that it will still include/show the unavailable channels?
And if i manually modify the Bouquet via webif i.e remove the unavailable channels will that affect the numbering (Ent - 101)? There's no point in me going through all this only to find that it adjusts my numbering again.
And finally is it at all possible to create a custom_sort text file like the HDfirst layout? That way i can comment out the unavailable channels and also move some channels around and get the best of both? Abit like a modified version of Custom_Sort3 and CustomSwap in one<- this should theoretically help those using OpenATV.
Whats your thoughts? :)

Im using OpenATV, however i modified the custom_sort3.txt with the swaps from the swap file which works fine, only thing is i cant use this option if i use the HDfirst option :(

I would hazard a guess that this would be added to the supplement.txt to override the reader.
I thought ITV HD was 178?

You can add or replace. Better to add for now as the channels are still present in main bouquet.

Still waiting on your list of numbers.

From the Neutrino Version, The ITV selectons are
If east, 4097 21.
If south, 4097 18
if west, 4097 27

Norfolk,
London/Essex

Ok to save confusion please can you tell me how to add extra channels ie. London live to the main bouquet. its not a swap as i thought it was it is to add channels.
I can do it via idreamx but everytime i update bouquet i loose the channels i added.

Use swap it will be a lot easier. (London Live is at 1070 for you)

Add this line to your swap.txt 117=1050
Select norfolk sd.
Enable swap.

That will mean typing 117 instead of 1070 will get you to LondonLive.

We can do the custom sorting of your entertainment bouquet later after you upload your csv amd say excatly what chanenl numbers you want in your entertainment bouquet.

Thanks that worked and i think im getting the hang of it now (finally)
I still can't seem to swap 961 & 88 to 1 & 3 on the main bouquet though, as the numbers start at 101 is it possible to use 1 & 3? I also cannot seem to find a channel number for itv anglia+1 can you please let us know the number.
Thanks again

1-100 is reserved for place holders and some out of region chanenls. You cannot use 1-100. You could select HD first and then swap, but I have never tried.

There is no 961 when using Norfolk SD region. Nor is there 88.

What people get confused with are:
Main buouquet numbering and bouquet numbering are different.

There are three separate features which run in this priority.
1. Supplement........Rename/change attributes/put a chanenl where it shouldnt be (you need details, these may change hence I suggested you swap). Hints at top of supplement file.

2. Swap................Swap a channel with another or place holder

3. Custom sort.......Organise contents of bouquets. Sort 3 has been dedicated for this purpose

Excellent info, i tried to do a swap on my local region (bbc east) on 1 (place holder) but it didn't work this is more than likely because like you said they are reserved.
Do you see what I am trying to do though? So I have on the main bouquet 1=bbc local 2= place holder 3=itv local then the rest are place holders till 101 starts and so on.

Have you noticed 1-60 in the csv file are empty? Forget about the main bouquet and sort the bouquets that you can.

If the main bouquet is important to you, leave this plugin and use ABM with ZZL xml. You can create your own bouquet with 1-100 chanenls (which you must update yourself) and select that as the first bouquet.

I prefer Lraizer's plugin for sat owing to the customisations that you can make and the fact that it does all channels on 28.2. Both are good, use the one you like.

I like this plugin always have no disrespect to ABM creator, i have done my main bouquet of how i like it but unfortunately when i update the bouquet with Idreamx it removes all the channel numbers (which is what i like about E2) Im sure there is a way that Lraizer or yourself can make this happen.
All i want to do is keep the regional section i have done so when i do a scan it doesn't remove it.
If not no problem.

I use ZoomZoomLukes ABM and it works great for me but one thing that I have noticed is that when I did a Couch flash to Apollo29 from 28 with back up restore the sat_sky_uk_zzl file was deleted from the providers list and I had to reinstall it
now I did a fresh clean install of 28 and did a full back up and image backup so I would think that the backup would reinstall that file as when I go in to the TV list all my ZZL channels are still their and I am able to select them, the Hide Section still has all my selected channels checked :confused:

Use the settings and files attached. You entertainment bouquet will always be like the picture and you won't need to do any manual editing. I can't be bothered finding your proper region, so stuck 962 in there to get "BBC one East W" 141 is BBC One East E if you use Norfolk.

Have a look a few posts higher up, round 21 August, for a copy of most of the unavailable ones to save you duplicating what's done already. There is an error with entry for sky news HD using the HD region details. HD channel when using SD region is fine.

this sounds like the same reason why the autotimers dont work. the service name in lamedb is probably overriding the name in the actual bouquet file. this is currently the total opposite how enigma2 is working in overriding the lamedb service names and displaying the service name from the bouquet files instead. eg. if you set an autotimer, the autotimer will look at the bouquet file for service name and create a timer based on the name from the bouquet file, but then it will look at a totaly different file for the service name ie. lamedb for reference to seek out any repeat timer references for the set timer. either autobouquets needs be rewritten to comply with this anti enigma2 approach as used in most other plugins/programs so that service numbers are also written to lamedb to mirror service names in bouquets or the plugins/programs need to be fixed to comply with current engima2 coding? probably easiest solution is for for next version of autobouquets plugin to also add this current bug to comply!

But why are you editing the bouquets that AB uses? it will be overwritten again. Make your own boquet, AB wont touch it. After a run of AB your own bouquet will go to the bottom, move it back up using your remote.

I am struggling to understand what you want to achieve.

The channels will be always be listed in the order specified in the chosen sort file. It has been mentioned many times that the main bouquet cannot be sorted.

I basically want to edit the main bouquet as i like it so as you said i can always have it as i want BUT when edited on idreamx channel numbers disappear so i thought i would try to do it another way ie. by swap and sort files which as you stated cannot be done. So unless i edit all manually on idreamx it cannot have the channel numbers (which is why i like e2 in the first place)
Hope this makes sense.

You need to edit your settings (nothing to do with plugin). Going by post 1295, you are not showing any numbers. They are shown to left of picon.

Lraizer's plugin adds a number to the channel's name, this is what you are seeing.

Screenshot in post 1299 shows channel numbers as well as the numbers added to name by Lraizer's plugin.

I understand you can turn numbers on by the vix settings but what I like about e2 is like you said it numbers all the channels via the plugin, HOWEVER unfortunately every time I edit any bouquet with idreamx I loose all numbering that the plugin creates. So is the system numbering the only option then?

Just make your own bouquet, (just one bouquet, the one you call main) Do not make any other bouqutes or edit any AB 28.2 bouquets.
Transfer it to receiver.
You should only have the one bouquet. If yes continue to next line.

Run AB 28.2. You should now have AB 28.2 bouquets as well as your bouquet. Your bouquet will be at the bottom.
Using remote, enable move mode. Move your main bouquet above AB 28.2's Main bouquet.

Upload the bouquet files that are on your PC. I suspect you edited an existing AB 28.2 bouquet.

AB 28.2 will not interfere with any other bouquets other than move itself above.

If there is a problem, it should be fixed. Even if this means dumping the last version. I was waiting for feedback before uploading to other fora and would welcome feedback that leads to fixes if needed. The PLI feeds still have the August 2013 version.

I have fresh flashed my receiver and installed the latest version. I cannot recreate the issue you mention. Can you double check again please? Thanks.

Here are my settings. You can only select SD regions in the latest version. I suspect you have not got custom channel swap on. The default swap results in pictures attached as well as getting London Live for any region.

I FTP'd to: /etc/enigma2 and deleted userbouquet.ukcvs00.radio, then the guide showed nothing so obviously ive changed the default somehow from TV to radio. :confused:

So two questions, how did I change the default from TV to radio (or how do I change it back)
And; how do I switch between TV and Radio bouquets?

Push the TV button on the remote :) However, push the correct one! On my remote there are 2 - one for controlling the TV and one at the bottom next to a Radio button for changing the Bouquet selection:)

If you apply same principle in reverse, yes. NDS being opposite of FTA. As an example
752:4032::::::NDS: This will completley remove the channel. (i've just edited the one above, you'll have to get number and epg id from the csv file in the plugin directory)

Disabling "custom channel swap" or altering your sort file may be a better solution.

This options seems quicker.

I don't know how to edit the Sort Files.
The channel swap wouldn't remove a channel, just swap.

EDIT:
I just tried using this to remove STANDARD BBC3 after using custom channel swap to put BBC3 HD at 115.
It does not remove it. I can remove the HD version using it's HD variant epg id but not the standard version.

You make it sound like its a major disaster. Check them, they are empty! If it bothers you, chaneg "make default bouquets" to "no" and delete them via image. When bouquets are open press Menu > Remove entry

Its not a plugin issue but image issue. PLI images have done this with the plugin for a while. There was quite a bit of code change in image recently. That has introduced this.

Custom Sort
To edit the file "custom_sort_3.txt", use a linux compatible editor (such as Notepad++, not to be confused with windows notepad). The file is located in the plugin folder of receiver

Once you open the file it should be easy to see how the numbers are used. just palce the numbers in the order that you want them to appear. Each channel number is prefixed by the bouquet number.

Once you have done this and transferred to receiver, your "Bouquet chanenl sort" option must be sort 3. every time teh plugin runs, it will create the bouquets as per the order in your sort file.

Ok so custom sort done correctly this time:thumbsup: but still have an issue that i can't remedy. Can't get RTE2 HD, BBC3 HD & BBC4 HD to work.

Running Ireland SD and there seems to be an issue with RTE 2 HD/UTV Ireland & BBC 3 HD/BBC 4 HD being on the same numbers 210 and 211. At least on checking autobouquets.csv thats where i think the conflict lies. Anyone know how to work around this?

You did not say that you were using Sort 1. I assumed you were using the default of "HD First", they are blank when you use that.

You are right they do show when using sort 1. If you want to use sort 1 with no adults, until issue in image is fixed, I suggest you edit the "custom_sort_1.txt" and remove the following lines from it:

861 to 910

The hidden bouquets being shown are not a result of changes in the plugin. Test on Apollo 95 to confirm.

Thanks

I'm having the same problem with OpenATV v4.2 on my VU+ Zero and 13/11/14 version of AutoBouquets E2. Some of the configuration settings seem to get ignored. Does anyone have a fix for this on the OpenATV platform (other than just using ABM)? Does anyone know where the configuration settings are actually saved to?

Firstly, apologies for replying to my earlier post, but I can't edit it any longer.

I've done a bit of digging, and found that the autobouquets_e2.sh file generates the configuration parameters that are passed to the main AutoBouquets application. It looks as if the saved customised configuration data should be passed to this file (in the form of $1 .. $18), but for some reason this isn't happening consistently. I've therefore gone in and manually updated this file to reflect my preferences, and this seems to have 'fixed' it for me. Specifically, I've commented out the Autobouquets E2 (defaults) section as follows:

# Autobouquets E2 (default)
# if [ "$1" = "None" ] || [ "$1" = "" ]; then
# DATA="4101"
# REGION="07"
# EXTRA="0"
# CUSTOM_SORT="0"
# NUMBERING="1"
# UPDATE="true"
# UPDATE_FLAG="1"
# PLACEHOLDER_FLAG="0"
# PARENTAL_CONTROL="1"
# DEFAULT_BOUQUETS="true"
# CUSTOM="0"
# FTA_ONLY="2"
# SCRIPTCHECKS="true"
# STYLE="0"; STY=" - - "
# PICONLINK="1"
# PICONFOLDER="3"
# PICON_STYLE="0"
# fi

and replaced it with the following:

EXTRA="1"
CUSTOM_SORT="1"
NUMBERING="0"
UPDATE="true"
UPDATE_FLAG="1"
PLACEHOLDER_FLAG="1"
PARENTAL_CONTROL="0"
DEFAULT_BOUQUETS="true"
CUSTOM="1"
FTA_ONLY="2"
SCRIPTCHECKS="true"
STYLE="0"; STY=" - - "
PICONLINK="1"
PICONFOLDER="3"
PICON_STYLE="0"

Note that I've removed the conditional 'if' / 'fi' code, so these parameters are set unconditionally.

I hope this is useful to others that are using the OpenATV image, and will help the developer track down the specific issue.

I've noticed similar issues yesterday using picons by nephilim. When I checked the autobouquet log, I noticed that the log file hadn't been written to since approx 26/12. I've been away for a week, but my boxes were in standby and AutoBouquets should have updated daily. When I checked the picon folder I noticed that all the symlinks had disappeared for some reason. I deleted the whole folder, updated to the latest ViX 115 (I can't remember what version I was previously on) and manually re-ran the AutoBouquets plugin, and everything appears to be back to normal. I'll keep an eye on it over the next couple of days.

If you are using "Sevice name" you need to have SNPs. I very much doubt you have these. eg "bbconehd.png". If you have "282E_xxxx.png", you should use the old way of doing things and select "symlink :Service ref"

Folks, I am an amateur at this stuff and starting out so please bear with me. This AutoBouquets E2 by LraiZer appears to be something I definitely want to try on my Dreambox. I have downloaded the rar and FTP'ed the contents to the /tmp on the Dreambox. Is this the correct first step? when I run any of the there .ipk files I get errors. Sorry for the basic questions but I would appreciate a noddy guide on how to install on the DB. Thanks

abu baniaz

@Shayfinn, you transfer the ipk to /tmp directory. You can then install by software managemenet of your image/by telnet.

Simplest command to use in telnet (Will install all ipks in there) is

opkg install /tmp/*.ipk

The cause of the adult and gaming bouquets showing up at top was due to the unlinked bouqets modification in August 2014.

From Apollo 132, the unlinked bouquets menu has been added. It was added to the PLI images a few days ago. It is set to "no" by default on OpenVix images so users should not have to do anything. Other images may have this as yes and title will be slightly different.

Menu > Setup > System > Channel selection settings> Enable unlinked bouquets

Ideally, plugin needs adapting so that the unwanted bouquets are hidden and not just omitted from bouquets.tv/radio or even have a .del suffix.

Lraizer is way from the forums. The plugin has not yet been adpated to the official bouquet changes. The source code is available if you want to have a bash at editing it. You will have to edit the CPP. Not sure what is required to make the reader file after edits.

I modified the sort files (1-3) to move the channels into the new official bouquets. You can reverse them if you want to add chanels into them.

HD first and Big first bouquet still place channel into L&C bouquets.

How did you do this please?There is an option in AB setup to choose No to "Make Default Bouquets".

I'm sure I read somewhere in the files that come with plugin that by making this a No ensures bouquet isn't created again and was recommended for hiding Adult channels, etc.

I have done a manual update and it didn't create the "lifestyle" bouquet again whereas previously it would. It's set to do an automatic update early hours tomorrow morning so I will post back again tomorrow with whether it works for auto updates.

Pretty sure subject was raised on ukcvs, not sure what solution (if any)was.

The whole process takes less than 50 seconds. It does not change channels or interfere with recordings. Is scheduling process during the daywhen TV is on not an option?

Thanks for replies as thought it was just me.

It takes up entire screen near enough so running it when box is likely to be in use may be more of an issue.

The built-in ABM doesn't do it so was kind of hoping it was a simple thing to sort! Obviously not.

I have two options I can think of:

1. Live with it but ensure TV volume is turned down low before going to bed so I don't hear TV on for the minute.
2. Go back to OpenVix's ABM and live without official channel numbering within G-EPG (which was main reason why I moved to AB 28.2).

I may forget about turning volume down before bed so will have to take option 2 :)

It does not take entire screen, it is a little box on top left. Invoke it from blue button to see it.

When I did a test run to find out what was causing TV to switch on, during automatic update it took full screen nearly before switching box/TV off.

Which manually are you asking about? Via blue button or from plugin menu?

The plugin shows different notification depending on whether STB was in standby or not.

From plugin menu (blue button brings up choice of options and not one of them is this plugin). Like I said the bigger screen is used when AB 28.2 does it's automatic/scheduled update as when I was testing what was causing it, that's how I noticed it was AB 28.2.

I'll be honest, I've never seen this plugin use that smaller screen which is a lot less intrusive than the larger nearly full size screen.

Am I correct in thinking that the automatic/scheduled update does utilise the larger screen rather than that smaller screen you posted as it did for me when I tested it?

Thats because andy spent a significant amount of time (MONTHS) coding it to use a free tuner, remember prior to andys improvement all channel scans like this and the EPG for that matter had to take over the active tuner to perform their scan, just another in a long line of improvements andy brought to Enigma2 which people tend to forget about.

Sorry, my mistake. Even scheduled uses the bigger screen. Sorry.

There are no settings involved to put AB 28.2 in the extensions list. It is just there.

AB was initialy coded so that it can be run totaly in the background without any python engima2 GUI interface via a cron job. you can simply run the autobouquets.sh script with your options passed to the script. the DVB_FRONTEND="-1" at the top of the script means it is set by default to use the frontend currently in use by E2, but can be manualy overriden and set to 0,1,2,3 for the autoboquuetsreader binary to read from a specific tuner.

Looking at that script, I see it has some 'defaults' if no options have been passed to the script so I've been trying to change these defaults to my own preference I have setup, to save the hassle of figuring out how (and what) to pass as options to the script.

However, I'm having problems choosing 'SD' version only (and removing any non FTA HD channels) but can't seem to figure out which default setting to change? I have included the section that determines the defaults below and I would greatfull if someone could advise where i'm going wrong?

Hi, I have just downloaded and installed the latest vix image 166 on Vu+Duo, everything has went well apart from a slight problem with a picon not showing. I installed AutoBouquet E2 from the feeds and set my region as Northern Ireland, also set syslinks for picons as shown on page 139, downloaded Ocram latest picons from the feeds, all other picons are showing in the channel list apart from my local 103 utvhd, I have checked the picon folder on the usb stick and it is there just not showing on screen. Hope someone here knows why its not showing.

Thanks in Advance

There is an outstanding issue with Irish channels. This may be affecting it.

Additionally, plugin never worked with symlinked picon sets IIRC. Can you post a screenshot of your settings please?

Are you using numbers next to names?
Are you customising your bouquets?
How many tuners does your receiver have?

Hi everyone

Iv found a problem with the swap not working and cant work out why, Iv been using this plugin for a long time on lots of different images and never had this problem to i tried the new vti 8.2.0

The only thing i can see that when installing the list is different to anything iv seen before.

For example : this is what i see on any other image iv tried

- - movies
- - sports
etc etc
and channels as -101 -102 etc etc

but on the vti image i have

= = movies
= = sports
etc etc
and channels = 101 = 102 etc etc.

So could it be the = ??

Iv tried many different versions, tried differents styles, manual install from working files and changed permissons etc etc but nothing works. spent a few days trying to work it out and reading and reading and still no wiser lol

I know i could use another image like vix but it just got me thinking why lol

Any ideas??

i just put openATV on to check the above issue. it seems for some reason openATV are installing and using /bin/bash as the default shell and the /bin/sh symlink is directed to bash and not the standard busybox ash. the down side to this for the current AB E2 is that bash is only accepting up to 9 options passed to it from the autobouquets_e2.sh script.

to avoid all your autobouquet_e2.sh script edits above, you should be able to simpily run the script using /bin/ash instead of the enforced default bash by editing the plugin.py file and rebooting box so that plugin.pyo is recomplied!

on lines 697 and 958 in plugin.py add code in red
com = ("cd %s; /bin/ash ./autobouquets_e2.sh " % (path.dirname(modules[__name__].__file__)))

@Lraizer,
The mod for unlinked boquets does not seem to work. You get an "unknown operand" notification on both OpenaATV and Openvix. Vix has unlinked bouquets off as a deafult, so not a biggee. On OpenATV, "child friendly/parental = on" has the adult bouquets at the top. Any chance you can look at it next time you have a few moments to spare.

I got some rs232 logs, hope they help. First one was with "parental = off", second was with it activated.

Is there any way to get them back (without adding the Sky HD channels) like they used to be.

You are probably in radio mode. Press the TV button. Or restart your receiver.

If you install the 13/6/15 one, you will get an update notification because opkg sees the current one as 31/5/2015.

If you take into account that the supplement and swap files need to be replaced, the diffrence between the 31/5/2015 and 13/6/2015 was the "default service" changing. This does not matter if you are already on an active channel. But if you start from fresh, then you see the hiccup that leads you to suggesting that bouquets are not made. If you don't believe me, look at /etc/enigma2/ you will find lots of bouquet files there.

I deleted the 13/6/2015 because the supplement and swap files needed changeing owing to the ITV chanenls. I should have known chanegs were due. Latest merge with PLI code is causing an N/A bouquet to show up as well. Just easier to provide the swap and supplement files.

Thanks for your continued help. I removed the AB 28.2 plugin version 13th June and then installed the 31st May version from plugin menu. Then I replaced the two files and ran it.
This time the category bouquets have appeared (yay!) however I'm left with some odd channel numbering for sports channels, for example SS News is now channel 408 instead of 401.
Any idea how I can fix this?

Really need to know what settings you are using. I'm guessing you are uisng a HD region. Please see here, ignore the bit about starting another thread, we're here already.
