I'm seriously considering making this receiver my next purchase but I have a few q's about the Vix image. Does EPG have the same layout as the Duo, also is cross Epg fully working? In short will this work just like the Duo image :D

I don't have one myself (yet) but yes, the VIX image works the same way on all supported receivers.

all of our images operate in the exact same way on all the receivers we support except where drivers / bootloaders and specific hardware have a part to play. basically if you are used to the ViX image on for example a Duo you will be rite at home with the ViX image on this receiver too.

Nice one I have had other enigma 2 receivers like the Alien before and they're not plugin friendly but assured I will now head to the shop for a shiny new box

Unless a Enigma 2 receiver is Broadcom MIPS based it will never run E2 correctly, hence why we only support Broadcom MIPS powered receivers ;) The Alien just runs a hacked E2 badly.

Using Build 275 on my UE, I am sure there was an option menu for the VFD display on build 268.

Has it been removed now?

Not go the box so not sure where it is - not removed anything. Have a nose around as Andy may have moved to another menu

I know this might sound like a daft question but can the gigablue hd 800 se display the time on the front panel while watching a channel instead of just while in standby? I dont have an enigma 2 capable receiver yet so that's why im asking and i miss being able to see the time on the display like with the old dbox's.

You might find it depends on what image you use :)
On the Quad you mod it to suit so I would imagen it's more or less the same method?

This must be supported by the drivers; that's not the case.

I think is a very good image. Just two questions to developers to put lcd picon in front and to regulate the brightness of the front lcd has the intensity very strong in standby. Thank you.
