Hi.
Has anyone got any wifi usb sticks working on any of the VU boxes? i kow the 800 supports wifi using dream elite so was wondering if anyone has had any luck with a VU box.
Edit i have just spotted another post that says it is possible on the DE image.

I have tested belking F5D7050,OK
I've used this one before D-Link DWL-G122 Rev. C1 (F/W.:v3.00)
You could always consider one of these too

i have got 4 D-Link DWL-G120 is there no way to make that adapter work with the Duo
i also have a Belkin F5D9050 ver 4001uk which is not on the working list of adapters but the Belkin F5D9050 ver 4000uk is could i get that one to work ?
Before i start dicking around with my VU has anyone tried any of thefollowing
Netgear WN111v2 N- USB (300)mbps
Tp-Link TL-WN727N N-USB (150) mbps
D-Link DWA-140 (300) mbps
Hi
I tried D-link DWA-140 (not listed) but Vu did not recognize it.So I put my old belking F5D7050 (listed ok) and bingo immediately.
(so I did not use anymore time with DWA-140...to find out if there is a way to get it working, lazy me)
When wifi was in its infinicy i read a post and very nearly gave it a crack, the post related to the RA-Link chips within certain wifi dongles. there was a way to compile your own drivers for wfi on the 800.might be worth trying to dig it up again.
Hi
Yes, as I said I did not spend time with DWA 140 after that but it`s possible..I think.I remember it also...lazy me :)

Is there any special installation process or should I just plug it in and wait for something automagic to happen?
I have a D-Link DWA-160 (H/W Ver.: A2 F/W Ver.: v1.70(E)) )I can test but I haven't plugged in yet
I have found the following info on other places
Rev A has Atheros 900x Chipset and Rev B a Ralink 2870 Chipset.
Rev. A adapters use the Atheros 900x drivers, which Atheros does not seem to be continuing the development of the drivers. D-Link seem to also have stopped any driver updates for this adapter.
Rev. B uses the Ralink RT2870 chipset. Ralink seems to be constantly updating their "reference" drivers. By using the Ralink RT2870 drivers, you can have a more recent driver. Not only can the Ralink drivers be used with the DWA-160 rev.B adapter but several other adapters, different models and manufacturers, can also be used. This will help to eliminate the "driver" interference that can happen.
Also, the rev.B adapters are newer tech than the rev.A model.
I have also found different drivers at ftp://ftp.dlink.com/Wireless/dwa160/Drivers/dwa160_LINUX_drivers_32017_CA.zip
or ftp://ftp.dlink.se/Products/dwa-products/dwa-160/drivers_firmware/20081111-DWA-160-S0029-EU(A+B).zip
but I haven't tested any of them yet.
