Using Pli system Settings backup On Different images

Hi,

Can I use the backup system of open pli image
"enigma2settingsbackup.tar.gz" to replace the system settings located in /media/hdd/backup of another image like Vti image or Gigant image or Dream Elite.

The reason for this is that would like to avoid redoing the manual setting of my 16 LNBs.

PS:For the channel and Bouquet I use dreamboxedit thus no problem>

as far i remember all it does is put the file you choose into a gzip file so, i can't see why it would not work, maybe other who have tried could answer this better

Tried it and it did not work.It seems there is a compatibility problem between open pli image and other images.

tried to install pli (nfi) with meoboot , with keep image settings option and the image loaded but froze box out, all it did was stick on channel i had on before i loaded it,would not even switch off via remote ,power switch at rear ,even after reboot it did the same had to uninstall ,maybe i did something wrong,if i did now you know what can happen
